Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer - Professional Bil
The Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer drives strategic training efforts for management while ensuring the success of training programs and curriculum by collaborating with team members to develop the training program, create curriculum, and build out training environments. The Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer works with end users to understand workflows and their interdependencies to make corrective adjustments or enhancements. The Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer serves as the central point of communication for an assigned set of users and is responsible for providing support for normal system maintenance and upgrades and assisting with system analysis to identify and resolve any issues within the software application. The Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer is responsible for the following job functions, including but not limited to:

+ Develops and implements the training program for the respective application(s), adjusting style to audience. This includes instructional design, material development, train-the-trainer, and/or leading classroom or virtual training.

+ Builds, tests, and maintains the current Master Training Environment and create and test future version environments.

+ Trains, mentors, and provides performance feedback to trainers and super-users with respect to the associated application

+ Coordinates workflow and schedules for application analysts in regards to all training activities

+ Identifies discrepancies between end user workflow and application capabilities, coordinating resolution with the build team

+ Engaged as a trusted liaison between end users, subject matter experts, the vendor implementation team, and other stakeholders to optimize the training program and application environment

+ Analyzes the effectiveness of training programs against stated learning objectives and modify training program to address opportunities for improvement

+ Creates and maintains design standards to form a cohesive and consistent presentation across each project

The ideal Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience within the healthcare industry in a clinical or revenue cycle related role. The ideal Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer will possess experience and knowledge of the Epic application to build, test, support, and train others. The ideal candidate will be independent and self-disciplined with the ability to quickly produce analytical deliverables while ensuring the right data is analyzed to provide meaningful, accurate information. The ideal Epic Principle Trainer/Instructional Designer will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, including but not limited to:

+ Ability to interpret complex concepts and processes and present them in a coherent and effective manner

+ Knowledge of current trends and conversations in the Instructional Design community

+ Two to five years' of experience in training preferred.

+ Clinical or revenue cycle background and/or knowledge of healthcare environment and terminology a plus.

+ Must be capable of performing all aspects of learning facilitation with minimal guidance.

+ Strong professionalism, communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills required to work effectively with all levels across the organization.

+ Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the user community.

+ Well-developed analytical, organization, and presentation skills.

+ Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
